As the FTC cap is pushed on the nut, the outer cap conforms to the hex shape of the nut while the inner cap covers the tube and sleeve inside the nut to hold the assembly firmly in place.
- CAP WITHIN A CAP: All products in the FTC Series have a unique design, referred to as "cap within a cap", as there is a set first outer cap, and then inside is another cap shape. They are proportional to each other in order to stay tightly on for hydraulic tube and nut assemblies.

- WIDE TEMPERATURE RANGE: The low-density polyethylene (PE-LD) that these caps are made from are not only strong to protect a variety of raised face flanges, they are also temperature resistant. The Caplugs FTC Series of Flareless Tube and Nut Caps can provide service from -94 to 215° Fahrenheit, or -70 to 79° Celsius.
